The first P-Innovator Summit, organized by the revolutionary accounting platform BABYLON2K.org (B2K) in partnership with premier training and resource center the Institute for Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Development, Inc. (iLEAD), UHY Philippines, and other B2K Partners, recently recognized three rising companies in the country’s ongoing digital transformation roadmap. 

Aiming to showcase innovative companies that operate in the Filipino market, the summit recognized its awardees based on digital implementations, employee initiatives during the pandemic that paved the way for company culture improvement, and meticulous analysis of each nominee’s knowledge management in terms of results, future plans, and inspirational insights.  

Composing the judges’ table were Entrepreneur/Mentor and Founder of Echosi and Echostore, Patricia U. Juan, Training Leader and accomplished MBA Mondo C. Castro, and mergers & acquisitions expert, Alverpine Capital (Private Limited) CEO, UHY Singapore Director and Co-Head of Corporate Finance & Business Development Alwyn Lee who selected winners based on the set criteria for various industrial nominees.

11 nominees were selected for the inaugural event. Among those vying for the Digital Movers of the Year awards were Leading digital entertainment enabler Universal Pin (Unipin), growing digital security technology company Securemetric, Integrated ship management leaders Synergy, and digital gifting service and online culture pioneers Sharetreats Innovation Corporation. 

Digital companies that displayed resilience during the pandemic were also honored via the Rising Star of the Year award comprising Pinoy Fintech solutions company Payloro, asy merchant account and online store setup group Pisopay, 24/7 virtual currency exchange company Coextar, and cryptocurrency remittance and transfer company Coinville as the nominees.

Lastly, the major P-Innovator Summit Award gave nods to three fully homegrown companies that have shown promise in recent years namely online communication and digital environment trailblazers Talk Innovations, Electrical and transformer manufacturer Panther Products Philippines, and consumer goods innovators Naturale Labs.   

Among the winners for the night were ShareTreats Innovation Corporation for the Digital Mover Award, PayLoro for the Rising Star Award, and Naturale Labs which took home the first-ever P-Innovator Award.  

Major winners are also set to showcase their innovations on summit host and CNN director for news content development at CNN Philippines Rico Hizon’s program.

E-wallet and fintech firm PisoPay was also given a special award for having the most social media engagement based on the Babylon2K Facebook page.

“The inaugural P-Innovator Summit Awards aims to champion deserving Filipino companies,” shared summit chairman, UHY M.L.AGUIRRE & CO., CPAs partner, and B2K founder Michael L. Aguirre (CPA, MBA, MST), during his keynote speech. “We intend to determine whether their “causes” or “just causes” are solid enough to endure the unpredictability of the infinite game of business,” he further stated.

Organizers of the first P-innovator Summit Awards are looking to inspire other digitally empowered companies to join what is a potential annual event. As digital business evolution takes a rapid and sustainable stance in the country’s economic progress, the P-Innovator Summit Awards expect more companies to emerge from the woodwork and be recognized for their efforts.

Francisco Senior Corporate Adviser of UHYMAC during his closing remarks. “Everything is connected– from how we pay for products to how we communicate; from end consumers and production to the establishments– we are now stepping into the future. The P-Innovator Summit Awards are giving everyone in the country hope that we can all be proud of,” he concluded.
